| Job description | The successful candidate will have at least 5 years current experience at a Senior level.
Current ABA registration is required.
Post graduate certificates are desirable
Patient Care: To enhance and maintain high standards of patient care
• Ensure all patients are treated holistically by effective use of the nursing process i.e. Individual Assessment, Realistic Planning, Effective Implementation and Accurate Evaluation.
• Ensure that the highest standards of care are delivered safely in accordance with the Hospital policies and procedures
• Where applicable to oversee the preparation of reports to be given to /received from the night staff and to ensure that the contents are communicated accurately and effectively.
• Ensure all necessary documentation relating to patients accounts are accurately maintained.
• To be aware that the spiritual well being of each patient is as important as the physical well being. To respect the spiritual and cultural beliefs of each individual and to liaise with the Pastoral Care Team as required.
• To provide education, support and advice to patients and relatives using the service.
Administration: To contribute to the effective use of resources and smooth running of the hospital.
Education and Professionalism: To maximise staff development in a learning environment.
